2018 Update

If you're hearing about Furvana for the first time, welcome!

For those of you who have been following us for some time, you may be wondering why we haven't held a convention yet. We believe wholeheartedly in open communication and transparency with our fans and our community, so here's our answer.

Over the last two years, we've reached out to many potential venues. Most of our meetings have gone very well, and we've been able to form some solid relationships in the hotel industry. Our main challenges in this endeavor have been staying true to the identity of our community while balancing the needs, desires, and means for a convention, and training our staff to keep up with the fast pace of organizing a big event.

At this time, we have some promising leads for getting to a full convention. We're working on building our reputation for the venues at which we would like to be. That takes time and a lot of careful planning. As such, we're moving forward deliberately to forge a healthy, durable relationship with venues for our community to enjoy in the future.

In the meantime, we'll be presenting several small events around the Seattle area, and we'd love to have your support! Keep your ears perked for new announcements, come out to our other events, and help us prove that we're a community worth having around!
